D5 น้ำหนัก 90 กรัมสามารถกันน้ำได้ลึกถึง 100 เมตร ตัวเรือนทำจากสแตนเลสกระจกเป็นแบบคริสตัล มาพร้อมซ้ายแบบซิลิโคน หน้าจอแสดงผลมีความละเอียดที่ 300 X 320 px ตัวเครื่องสามารถเปลี่ยนภาษาได้ถึง 18 ภาษา (ยังไม่มีภาษาไทย )แบตเตอรี่มีการแสดงผลทั้งแบบ Icon และแบบตัวเลข

สามารถเชื่อมต่อได้ทั้ง Bluetooth และสาย USB และ D5 ยังสามารถเชื่อมต่อกับ Suunto Tank Pod เพื่อการแสดงผล อากาศในแทงค์ได้อีกด้วย ( ต้องซื้อเพิ่ม ) D5 มีการแจ้งเตือนแบบสั่นด้วยนะครับ ระบบการแจ้งเตือนก็ยังมีมาครบถ้วน Dive Time , Maximum Depth , Tank Pressure, Gas Time , Too Fast Ascent, Decompression Ceiling Violation, Deepstop Violation
